Please mark these dates on your calendar - PARCC starts on April 30. The 2018 Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Career (PARCC) assessments will be administered from April 30 – May 25, 2018. Students will test in both English Language Arts (ELA) and math. It is essential that all students come to school on-time on testing days, and we ask that you not schedule appointments or early dismissals on those days as well. Cultural Arts Assembly! Our next cultural arts assembly will be on April 26, 2018. Students will enjoy a performance by Karim Nagy. Click here for a preview of what your students will enjoy.
“Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” is also on April 26, 2018. If you choose to have your child participate, please complete this form so that the day will be counted as a field trip, which is an “excused” absence. Click here for more information. While we appreciate the value in this day, your children will miss our cultural arts assembly if they are not in school.
MWMS Appreciates Our Volunteers! The staff at MWMS wants to express our heartfelt appreciation for the countless parents, guardians and community members who have supported our students and staff through the extension of your time, energy, donations and dedication. You are the reason MWMS is a great place to teach and learn. Thanks for all you do!
Way to go performing arts students! Over the past couple of weeks our band, orchestra and chorus students have participated in assessments and adjudications where they were scored and given feedback on their playing, performance and ability to sight-read music. Our kids represented the Mayfield community well and I am so proud of them. Thank-you to Mr. Hunter, Mr. Hoffmaster and Mr. Morris for encouraging and teaching our kids. Way to go!
Finally, don’t forget that Monday, April 23 is restaurant night at Eggpectations! Please come out between 4:00 -10:00 PM and help support our PTA. Money raised will go toward the 2nd Annual "Carnival at the Woods"! Click here for more information.
