Students Honored at the Annual Celebration of Academic Achievement

​The Council of Elders of the Black Community of Howard County (TCOE) in collaboration with HCPSS sponsors an annual Celebration of Academic Achievement to acknowledge and honor students of African and African-American heritage across the county.

This year’s Celebration of Academic Achievement honored students who are currently in grades 4 - 9 and have achieved one or more of the following levels of academic success during the 2016-2017 school year:

  • Received a grade of “A” or “B” for Mathematics in each of the four marking periods
  • Received a grade of “A” or “B” for Language Arts in each of the four marking periods
